In a happy and somewhat sad turn of events we got pregnant at the end of October, before we were able to take our honeymoon as planned to Mexico and Cuba. After Carrie’s morning sickness cleared in January we had to re-think our plans. It just seemed a little silly to go to Mexico and risk getting some kind of bacteria or other sickness… not to mention our planned scuba diving excursions were now out of the questions. So we turned our energy into planning a more doable trip. Hawaii had the warm water and beaches and seemed more within our reach, so off we went.
